How un-PC of me. No offense meant! This is a thumbnail of an illo I'm working on for a videogame. God, 2006, the year of "Git 'Er Done", I hope. Focus on work.

Apropo of nothing, another cool puppet blog: Puppet Vision. God, I want this Audrey II. How fraking cool!

Yes, fraking.

ETA: OMG! Glove & Boots' Green Jello. Maybe it's the coffee kicking in, but I was ROLLING.

Monterey sketches #3

I love octopi. I'd get a octo tat if I wasn't borderline diabetic and thus a horrible candidate for tattoos.

Monterey Sketches #2

According to "Plankton Guy", a docent at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the aquariusts installed a "bubble wall" on the huuuuge Outer Bay exhibit because the recently introduced school of sardine kept hitting the "invisible" tank wall.

Outer Bay, sans bubble "screen" Now imagine a constant, gentle stream of rising bubbles emmenating from jets set all along the glass tank wall.

Something about the size of the Outer Bay tank and the new curtain of bubbles makes everyone get loud and giddy-- the space encourages that animated response, whereas the preceding space, with its low ceilings, balletic jellyfish, and ambient plinky-plink Nature Company soundtrack, nurtures a church-like reverence. It's just as fascinating for me to analyze the design of the public space as much as the wonders featured within said structures.
