huh...

This earthquake hit the day after Easter? And the tsunami-causing quake was the day after Christmas? Just weird. And horrible. What's going on?

Japan Girls Nite 05

Titan Go Kings are 15 Odd Foot of Punk.

Petty Booka. Ukeleles. Hee!

":-P The Pillows f*cking rock LIVE! Muhahahahahah! Otakulicious! My ears are still ringing..."

"I want to see San Franshisco crazy danzu!"

(D'oh, I drew them as southpaws. Shut up.)

All that and I ran into a former classmate/stop-motion animator L. in the crowd. Small damn world.

Another kinda WWW.

Apparently tomorrow is World Water Day. Meanwhile we're getting slammed by a late spring storm and I'm re-reading "Dune."

(Yes, I could have easily doodled this but I'm nowhere near photoshop or a scanner. Great.)

In praise of everyday angels: thanks to the guy that offered me change after three evil soda machines rejected my lone dollar.

Random: Why is David Mack so popular? Seriously. I like "painterly" comics, but I dunno... just can't get on board.

Spring - sakuuuuuu!

Cherry blossoms, flowers, protestors-- ah, must be the first sunny day of Spring. (Apologies to Koji Yamaura's Mt. Head.)

Well, not officially-- that's March 21st. But it was 70 degrees Farenheit last wkd, so it might as well have been Spring. Here come the capris. Guess the leg shaving was right on time.

The outdoor landscape is coming alive, but unfortunately I also found out just how lively the indoors can be. GOOD. GOD. Catch Discovery's The Undetectables if you can, then, you know, start living your Howard Hughes germophobic existence while the credits roll.

Dead rats and Roaches and Mold, oh my.

Quarter Day! Can you dig it?

One of my fave comic books stores, Lee's, had their soon-to-be annual Quarter day. The place was hot, packed. Simultaneously loud with constant flipping through boxes of discount comics, and seriously quiet-- said flippers silently scanning for *the* bargain title to magically appear beneath their flashing fingers. As a seasoned used music store "crate-digger", I respect their tenacity. Meanwhile, I just went the lazy route and asked an employee to help with my hunt...

The hits: Pop Bot (you know me and "painterly"), Nurse Witch Kumugi(chan), Invader Zim, and Shaolin Cowboy. Fanfrickingtastic deals, people. The miss: No Passion of the Keith in stock. Waiii!

While we're on the topic of comics:
This Place Sucks

Edit: Well hot damn. Lee's blogging now.
